Submitting a thesis for inclusion on the ACQOL site

What you need to do

  1. Check the thesis informs some aspect of life quality.
  2. Provide a covering letter including the the author’s name, date of the thesis, and thesis title.
  3. Ensure the thesis is in the PDF format, OR a weblink – thesis may be made available through a web-address to a library or other repository. HOWEVER, if this format is to be used, ensure that the thesis is freely available for direct download from the supplied address, without the use of a password.
  4. Send us your thesis via the submission form.

NOTE: These theses may be at the level of Honours, Masters or Doctoral. Contact us if you have any inquiries.

Submitting a document for open access publication

What you need to do

  1. Review Acceptance criteria
  2. Include the reference and a brief (<200 words) abstract for your publication at the start of the document. To reference the document, please refer to the Citation example
  3. Send us your document via the submission form.

NOTE: By submitting this document for inclusion in the ACQOL site you are providing assurance that the document is free of copyright or any other form of ownership, and that you are making the document freely available with no requirement for a password. Acceptance criteria

The criteria for acceptance of documents for publication are as follows:

  1. The author agrees that their document is published under the conditions specified by our Creative Commons Licence Creative CommonGs Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License
  2.  The author agrees that their published document will be preceded by:
    Recommended citation: Author (year). Document title. ACQOL Open-Access Publications by Members. Australian Centre on Quality of Life. Deakin University. Melbourne. Retrieved from https://acqol.com.au/publications/open-access-publications/
  3. The published document must directly address the issue of life quality in some clear scientific way, as judged by the WebMaster and ACQol Director together.
  4. The kinds of documents the site may contain are:
    1. Conference papers either unpublished or previously published in inaccessible conference proceeding
    2. Unpublished manuscripts
    3. Previously published papers with no copyright.
    4. Previously published papers which are inaccessible through Google Scholar.
    5. Previously published papers with approval from the publisher.
    6. Lectures or informal talks, either as text or power-point.
  5. The documents will be republished in whatever form they are submitted as: word, pdf, or power-point. The documents will not be edited for spelling, grammar or format. However, documents will not be accepted if they lack coherence.
  6. Each document will be preceded by the information required on the submission form.
  7. Documents will not be accepted if they use offensive language, including blasphemy, offensive images, or personal vilification.
